TO BE AWARE, NOT BEWARE.

Operation Personal Awareness

Fear of exposing personal identifiable information is a concern of most people in society today. Don't worry, you don't need to fear in healthcare, one can only be mindfully aware to prevent possible exposure. Technically, there's an app for that!

How you can create more security understand the

1) what, 2) why you are protecting

3) how the business' practices

The downside to communication through digitally is the risk to privacy and access to network connectivity. The HIPAA Journal describing how a secure healthcare app, that’s HIPAA Compliant of course, is different from SMS because the encrypted data is not transported through public servers, therefore, data can’t be intercepted (2022).

Good practices:

1) no personal phones, 2) create a team that you trust,

3) know protocols

It sounds silly to mention trust, but in my experience it can be hard for owners to let go of control and fully trust their team. If you don't trust em, get rid of em!

Nowadays, Informaticists suggest most individuals residing in a developing country have access to a mobile device that can receive text and voice communication (2018). Privacy can be in question with any technology accessible on a public domain. The individual can more effectively protect their own privacy through measures that utilize secure healthcare messaging apps.

The point, stay on top of your personal health information by using common sense to stay aware.
