WHOLLY HOLISTIC HEALTH

Do you think there is a connection between mental and physical health?

Holistic health pertains to your whole body, physical and invisible body as the individual’s health is viewed. Mental health is something that can be felt severely but seems to stay invisible most of the time. For example, depression can be a life altering cycle because of  constant fear of judgement from others or that speaking might make it worse.

A phase of life that sometimes feels never ending, depression can be just that, a moment stuck in time. The scariest part, over 17% of young adults who range from 17-25 years old are who are the most affected by severe episodes reported by the National Institute of Mental Health.

Who can focus on feeling your feelings if you’re physical body is sick or in pain? Medical researchers find a link that physical health can affect mental health in both positive and negative ways. What is also found is the correlation to physical activity, or exercise producing positive results that improve mental health. What impacts the mind, affects the body and vise versa. The relationship is a cause-and-effect concept between physical health and emotional health.
